Should I buy a petrol Jaguar XF for 5000 miles a year?

I have a middle age hankering after a Jaguar XF. I have seen a 2010 3-litre petrol model that I may be able to get for £15,000. It has had two owners and covered 25,000 miles. I do around 5000 miles a year. Do you think I would be a fool to buy a big engine petrol car rather than a diesel?

That's the one to get for 5000 miles a year. More sensible than a diesel, very reliable, very well-proven Ford 4 cam engine.
