Why is my Citroen C5's battery draining itself when left stood?

I own a Citroen C5 automatic diesel. I have experienced problems where, when parked for a number of days, the battery runs down. I had it checked by the garage and each time they say the battery is good, it just needs recharging. It seems that there is an electrical fault that over a period of time and recently it was 17 days when we were away the battery discharges, as though there was something that was not switching off when the vehicle was parked. Have you any suggestions as to the cause of the problem?

Switch everything off individually before switching off the ignition: radio, heater fan, lights, wipers, etc. And also switch off the interior light completely. Sometimes the ‘see you home’ delay drains the battery.
