Ford Focus - 1.0 125 ecoboost or 115 TDCI?

I’m interested in a new Ford Focus 1.0 125 Ecoboost or 115 TDCI. It'd be used for a 12 mile daily commute (24 mile round trip) of approximately 6 miles rural/town roads which can get congested and then 6 miles continuous motorway straight to the office door with one or 2 longer runs a month.

Which engine would be more suited to this type of journey and would the DPF on the 115 TDCI be able to 'regenerate' or would it give problems?

I think the diesel will be okay and will certainly be a lot more economical.
