Do you think temperature gauges are important?
Do you think that having a temperature gauge is essential in a car? I am thinking of buying a used Nissan Note and they do not have temp gauges. I have only had cars with them and I do check them.
On a different theme if I may - do any other makes other than Ford fit quick clear windscreens? I am sure I saw an advert for a Vauxhall Insignia saying it had one. I thought only Ford had the patent for these or has it lapsed?

A dashboard idiot light does the same job as a temp gauge for engine warm up. Quickclear was a Ford patent, adopted by Jaguar and Volvo when they were part of Ford and sold to BMW for the MINI. Could be that the patent has now lapsed.
