Engine won't turn off in our SEAT Leon

My wife has a 2009 SEAT Leon FR Petrol. There is an intermittant fault in that when the ignition is turned off and the key removed the engine will continue to run. As this is the DSG verision it can't be stalled to kill the engine. After a wait of between 5 to 10 mins the engine will turn off of it's own accord.

The car is still under dealer warranty and has recently been with them for 14 days. They informed me that they first changed a dash insert, yet the problem still persisted, so they then changed (I believe) an ignition sensor. The car was OK for the next 6 days but the fault has now returned.

Have you ever heard of this happening and if so, know of any solution as the service department at the SEAT dealers admit they are running out of options?

Secondly, we have had the car for 8 months now but are losing faith in it's reliability, do we have a case to reject the car if they cannot fix the issue?

Never heard of this happening on this model before. But obviously the engine is continuing to fuel so the fuel cut-off is not functioning and the two fuel pumps are continuing to pump fuel in to the engine. Might be correctable in the ECU software.
