I need a 4x4 for muddy wet woodland use

I need to buy a 4x4 for use in a small woodland and driving back and forth to the woodland a distance of about 5 miles. My obvious thought was a Land Rover Defender but I wonder if you could suggest something else.

I only want to spend up to £5000. I will be loading timber so a pick up sounds best. My 2010 Honda CRV will not even get through the wet clay soil on rutted level ground.

If you can find an Isuzu Rodeo post 2007 with the 2.5 chain cam I-TEQ engine, that is the best.
