Cruise control and fuel economy

In the past few weeks you have said that a 'human' is likely to be more efficient than cruise control as a human wil allow overrun going down hills, which will increase economy.

Is any manufacturer producing a configurable cruise control which will allow eg 5mph overrun on hills from the set speed to increase fuel economy?
