What are the pros and cons of all-season tyres?

Pros: improved ride comfort from the softer rubber compound, better cold-weather performance than summer tyres, no need to swap with summer tyres in the warmer months, no need to store the tyres when using the summer set.

Cons: more expensive to buy, not as effective as winter or summer tyres in harsh cold/hot weather conditions, not compatible with all cars/wheel sizes.
