My Golf has 174,000 miles on the clock and is still going strong

I bought a Volkswagen Golf MKIV GT PDI 130 from my brother-in-law who owned the car for years and bought it with 30k on it. It's now done 174k, mainly motorway miles by a very considerate driver who has stuck to all maintenance schedules and had the belt changed every 60k or so - it's even on the original clutch!

It drives great, and pulls like a mule, but I'd like to ensure it goes on as long as possible. Do you have a fool's guide to longevity, or some tips for the same. I drive sensibly and considerately and intend to maintain the car to the previous owner's levels.

The car has done well, so continue with its service regime, if anything changing the oil and filter a bit more often. Absolutely crucial for the PD injectors to use the correct sludge dispersing oil.
