Matter of unimportance

Help! I have test driven an auto RX-8 import and have fallen totally for the car. TW White specialises in this RHD 2nd hand car, but its prices are hard to justify. Mazda was selling the brand 2008 manual RX-8 last month for £22,500 on the road, and if I could I would rather pay this figure for a new auto RX-8, but there are no plans to import these although they sell loads in Japan, NZ and Australia and export LHD auto to America. Can you advise?

Mazda UK imports its cars at pre-bought currency rates. TW White can only import them at the currency rate on the day. And Sterling has fallen 45% against the Yen over the last year. That said, Mazda UK does now offer a 6-speed torque converter automatic version of the MX-5 2.0 litre roadster and roadster coupe.
