MID mourning

One of your e-mails inspired me to check my insurance details with the MID via www.askmid.com. Two of my three vehicles are recorded correctly, but the third shows my registration number is insured but the vehicle is spurious. I dutifully informed the MID by email to which I have had no reply. I also told my insurance broker who tirelessly 'chased' the matter up. I am being asked to 'jump through hoops' because of the inability of the MID to record what vehicles are insured where. Having wasted enough time I now await ‘having my collar felt' and will look forward to the ensuing mess. I hope for a court appearance where I will be able to vent my anger (using colourful language) at this ridiculous situation. Why oh why has our country become so NASTY?

In that case I advice you to carry your insurance certificate whenever
driving the vehicle for which the spurious information has been recorded. But it is down to the insurer, not you, to ensure that the correct information is supplied to MID, and if you are inconvenienced as a result of it having supplied incorrect info to MID then your insurer is liable. Britain’s has become a very nasty country because its finances for 10 years have been controlled by an ocularly disabled non-driver with the ridiculously old-fashioned socialist notion that motorists are to be vilified and used as cash cows, in which propaganda he is supported by the BBC that is always under financial threat by the government of the day because that government determines the licence fee.
