Will my MoT be extended automatically?

My motorcycle is currently SORN and the MoT is due to expire at the beginning of June. I understood that from the end of March all vehicles would be given a six-month extension but I have just checked the DVLA database and my MoT has not been extended. Does this happen automatically or do I need to apply to the DVLA?

The MoT extension is automatically applied on a rolling basis. Typically it will be extended by six months at seven days before the MoT is due expire. Although we have heard of cases where this has happened much sooner.
