Unheard of
I have just purchased a new Hyundai i30 1.6 Comfort. The car is fine except for the accelerator, which is very fierce at small openings. This makes it difficult to start smoothly and to drive in stop-start traffic conditions. Either the engine revs too much or stalls. I have been driving over 50 years and have never encountered this problem before. Also, our second car, a KIA Rio diesel doesn't have any problem. The garage mechanic shrugged his shoulder replying -- "They are all like that.” We are not satisfied with this answer. Is this a problem to our car only, is it a common problem, and is Hyundai doing anything about it?

I've experienced this and actually the real problem is the silence of the engine. You can't hear it revving, so the trick is to glance at the rev counter before you let out the clutch.
