Electronic Key fob for Peugot 406

My Wife's Electronic Key fob that controls ignition and opens door locks has the bottom has fallen out. She has spoken to the local Peugeot agent and they are quoting a large amount, and all she wants is the control button replaced not a complete key which they say has to be re-programmed.
