If I change the wheels on my car will I have to tell my insurer?

I wish to follow your advice and change to a smaller wheel and higher profile tyre to improve ride quality. Will this affect the guarantee of my eight month old car?
And will I have to advise the insurance company?

If the wheels are from the manufacturer, they should be no issue in any way as long as they have been type approved for that vehicle. As long as the wheels are the correct specification, it will not invalidate the manufacturers warranty in any way, but if they are not from the OE manufacturer, you will need to advise your insurer.
