Published: Wednesday, December 11, 1991
British Aerospace P.L.C. said today that it had appointed George Simpson as its new deputy chairman effective Jan. 1. Mr. Simpson will continue as chairman of British Aerospace's car subsidiary, the Rover Group.
In addition, the company named Lord Hollick and Robert Kirk as non-executive directors, also effective Jan. 1. Lord Hollick is managing director of MAI P.L.C. and chairman of Meridian Broadcasting P.L.C.
Mr. Kirk is chairman of Reflectone Inc. of the United States, in which British Aerospace has a 53 percent stake. British Aerospace's interim chairman, Graham Day, said the new board appointments would further strengthen the company's management.
