1300 suspended at Cowley car body plant

More than 1,300 workers who have been operating a go-slow for a month at British Leyland's car body plant at Cowley were suspended yesterday. The men have been asked to report for work again today, but yesterday's decision also led to 2,800 workers being laid off and the halting of car production at the plant.
