Rover's new chairman

Mr L.T.G. Farmer has been appointed executive chairman of the Rover Company of Solihull, Warwickshire, succeeding Mr M. Wilks, who died on September 8. Formerly executive vice-chairman of the company, Mr Farmer is also president of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders and the Motor Cycle and Trades Benevolent Funds.
