£22,500,000 Order For Jaguar Cars
20 October 1961
DAILY MIRROR
By Patrick Mennem
Orders from America and Canada worth £22,500,000 were placed at the Motor Show yesterday for Jaguar cars. This means a doubling of Jaguar sales in the two countries compared with this year. The orders are for the new Mark X 120 mph saloon, the 150 mph E - type Jaguar, and the 2.4 , 3.4 and 3.8 litre saloons .
A spokesman for Jaguars told me: "We are not worried about keeping the factory fully employed during the winter — our great problem is how to meet orders we have had from all over the world."
