BMC Chief Hurt In Crash

Sir Leonard Lord , chairman of the British Motor Corporation, and Lady Lord were slightly injured yesterday when their Austin A105 saloon car was in collision with a 3-ton Army lorry near Tavistock, Devon. The front of the car was extensively damaged. Sir Leonard's chauffeur, Mr John Stead, was uninjured, but Mrs Stead was taken to Tavistock hospital with a hip injury.

The W.R.A.C. driver of the lorry, Miss Alma Sharland, of Raglan Barracks, Plymouth, was unhurt.
