What could I get for my 1996 Jaguar XJ6 Sport?

I'm considering selling my beloved XJ6 auto Sport saloon 1996N. Three owners: Jaguar management, an elderly businessman for three years and me (now also elderly at 76). No rust, immaculate bodywork, always garaged, 70,000 genuine miles and Jaguar specialist history. Refurbished alloys, Clarion music, rear seats used only a few times (look new). Runs beautifully and looks the business. Serviced, valeted and driven with care. What is it worth, not to a dealer or normal buyer but to someone who wants a superb Jag irrespective of the petrol costs etc? It's also in the best colour: Bordeaux Red.

If this is the old straight six, then it's worth more to a Jag enthusiast than an early V8 (which were unreliable at first). Guide price for a 96N Sport with 114,000 miles is £2,155 dealer sale, £1,885 private sale, p/x disposal £750. So, with just 70,000 miles, you might be able to get £2,500 advertising on one of the Jaguar enthusiasts websites or forums. The specialist in nice older Jags is: www.roberthughes.co.uk
