How can I register a classic car that has a chassis modification?
I have tried to register a 1934 car with the DVLA but am unable to as the chassis was modified in 1982. I am trying to get an answer from DVLA as to why I cannot repair (un-modify) the chassis back to its original specification. Repairs to chassis are deemed okay on other cars but not on mine if that repair is to rectify a modification. They are unable to answer why this is. Can you help?

Most cases like this are quite complex, and without the full story we're not sure we could help. However, you will find a lot of support from the Historic and Classic Vehicle Alliance, which frequently takes on classic casework such as this: www.hcva.co.uk/142/about-the-historic-and-classic-...e
