The latest manufacturer to make the most of the retro name stakes is Fiat, which has thrown itself back to the Eighties in naming the forthcoming replacement for the Bravo. The last Tipo appeared for the first time in 1988, and was a bold step forward for the Italian firm, replacing the rust-afflicted Strada with a car that was altogether much better built and far more technologically advanced.
