NEC Classic: Top 10 highlights from Saturday
This year the NEC Classic Motor Show embraced the theme of ‘big screen’ classics. As a result, there were dozens of cars from the small and silver screen on display with KITT from Knight Rider, Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters and the Mini from the Mr Bean TV series.
Classic car clubs also got involved with the fun, with themed stands, fancy dress and some famous cars. Here’s our top 10 big screen classics from the Saturday of the NEC Classic Motor Show.
Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters
One of the most impressive cars on display was Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters. The 1959 Cadillac Miller Meteor ambulance is a replica of the model made famous in the ghost zapping film, featuring police lights, sirens and proton packs. The car is owned by Milton Homan, who bought it six years ago and spent six months restoring it and converting it into Ecto-1.
