Austin Allegro Crayford Convertible
The absolute nadir for any British Leyland apologist, the Allegro Crayford Convertible was the Kent-based convertor’s least successful car, with a grand total of 17 built before the plug was pulled, largely down to quality control issues. This example returned to the road less than a week before the show, and was lovingly restored by its owners George Beresford and Roger Feist, who drove it up from Strood, Kent. It was the car’s first journey of more than 100 miles in over 30 years…
