Ultra reliable....if only

A great looking old bus, superb on and off road manners, capable of floating across pot holes and rutted fields with arguably the best off road suspension system ever. Nice inside with all the toys, leather a commanding driving position and a descent ability to sprint with the 4.6 litre V8 growling.

Every journey no matter how short was an adventure ...will I get there, will it start, what new noise and warning light will I discover today. You'll become good friends with your local AA / RAC recovery team you will have your own personal account handler. Mechanics will welcome you as a new customer, you will even get a loyalty card.
The Bodywork metal was a special alloy commissioned by Range Rover designed to rust with in 6 months of leaving the showroom..literally the car would be lighter by a few tens of grammes by the time you reached your destination...if you ever did (see above).

To sum up ..a contender...could have been the best 4x4 out there..great design ..built in Midlands but with shocking build quality and ultra cheap UK made components that would shame an indian pig iron foundry.
