1963 Ferrari 250 GT/L 'Lusso' Berlinetta by Scaglietti - Sold for €1,624,000 (£1,213,952)

The Lusso was first seen at the Paris motor show in October 1962, and the stunning lines meant many enthusiasts were smitten by the latest 250. Under the aluminium bonnet was Ferrari’s 3.0-litre Colombo V12, which was topped with three Weber carburettors. Accelerating from 0-60mph took eight seconds, with a top speed of 150mph. The charm of chassis 5085GT is that, unlike many of its siblings, it hasn’t been over-restored. Yes, it had a refresh in 1980, but it’s still got the original engine and the paint is nicely aged. Don’t think it’s been neglected, though – it’s been well looked after.
