Martyn Wray’s 1932 Singer Junior Special Sport

Laid up in 1963, Martyn Wray dragged this car from its garage in 2013. Shortly after purchase he recommissioned it, and it is now fully roadworthy. The bodywork and trim, however, are exactly as found. The car looks exactly as it did in 1932, barring new glass and side flashes added by its single previous owner. ‘I wasn't exactly looking for another restoration project as my wife and I hadn't quite completed a seven-year rebuild of a 1933 Singer 9 Coupe, but a Special Sports is very rare as Singer only made them for one year and our records suggest that less than 100 were probably built. When we went to collect it we found that it was the most complete and original 1932 Singer that I have ever seen.’
