A Grand Monday: Kia Pride

Published 30 September 2019

If our Future Classic Friday on the Kia Pride was enough to whet your appetite (and why wouldn’t it be) then here’s your opportunity to lay your hands on what appears to be a really nice one.

Priced at £850, this example is a very late version of the Pride on a V-registration, making it one of the very last to be sold in the UK, It has covered 58,000 miles and appears to be in excellent order, with very smart silver paintwork, spotless upholstery and stacks of history. It also benefits from 12 months’ Mot.

The seller tells us it has had a few scuffs and paint chips touched in, but is in otherwise excellent condition.

If you want a slice of Korean motoring history, then a Pride you can take pride in may well be a good place to start, especially if you’re a younger enthusiast, where the Kia’s affordable insurance will be appealing.

At £850, it’s pretty pricey for a Pride, so we’d be tempted to haggle a bit. But if the seller plays ball at £700, it could well be worth having.
