1989 PORSCHE CARRERA TARGA TURBO S RESTOMOD A superb restomod; this Porsche is effectively a 930 3.3 turbo S built into a skinny Carrera targa shell. I hadn't intended to sell this car as it is absolutely perfect for sunny Devon lanes, but I do need to free up some space so at least one of the classics has to go! This 911 was built as a no expense spared project back in 2005, as evidenced by the 5 volume history and build file, starting with a near concours, but high mileage August 1989 Carrera 3.2 targa in Forest Green metallic. Exterior Not a great deal has been changed, with the exception of the front valance, which has been switched for the earlier non spot light version. In the interests of weight reduction the rear wing / engine lid / bumper / valance have been replaced by lightweight carbon composite items. Wheels are 930 7" & 9" x 16" Fuchs alloys. Interior Semi lightweight insofar as the standard carpet set was replaced with Perlon and the ICE and electric window mechanisms have been stripped out. Engine A real beauty, which was built to 381bhp 964 3.3 turbo S spec on new crankcases bought from Porsche. The exhaust system is bespoke, modelled on the system fitted to the 934 , and made from 321 Stainless and Inconel. Turbolag has been minimised (assuming that you're in the right gear!), and coupled to a 5 speed 930 gearbox it really is a superb power unit. So....not one for the purists, but if you're looking for a discreet classic 911 that can seriously surprise many a present day performance car, this may well be the Porsche for you. It has just had a full service and MoT (25/8/21) so is good to go for a new owner. The car can be viewed in Kingsbridge, Devon. Please note that I have appalling mobile reception down here, so if you cannot get through to me please try email or Whatsapp.

You won't confuse it with other 911s, and it's certainly exclusive
Vivid performance, turbo lag in early models adds excitement, tough as old boots
