1989 Austin Montego

The car hasn't moved from garage storage for a number of years, but we managed to push it out into the daylight with little difficulty. It's a one owner car with 39K on the clock. Full service history bar the 30K one which was done just prior to it being stored. Its been garaged its whole life so quite sound structurally except for the rear wheel arches (LH is worse then RH) and a bit on the drivers sill. Very little oil dropped on garage floor and the sump is over full. Its a 1.6L model. Should make an easy resto for someone. Needs to go in the next few weeks - the car does not have a current MOT/tax and is collection only. Detail for photos: RH rear wheel arch show rust spots on lip Front RH quarter showing little rub on leading edge of bumper Dent in bonnet to side of montego badge Rust at leading edge of RH sill Interior. Tidy and needs a valet No sag to drivers seat Roof lining sagging at rear LHR wheel arch. This is the worst rust area Trim around LHR door needs attention Engine bay, general view. Cylinder head oiled, so has the usual S series weep Tidy boot area. No visible rust. Spare wheel and toolkit in place Underside rear showing relatively new exhaust system All documents present, including service record upto 24,000 mile

Roomy, comfortable and swift in both 1.6- and 2.0-litre form
