Worthing

A fully restored 1989 Citroen 2CV6 Special. This CV has been restored with the current owner spending circ £13,000 Every detail has been carefully considered and the vast majority of the parts being supplied by “The 2CV Shop” The Restoration has been carried out by “GS Retro Classics” We have several files of paperwork / invoices and 2 folders of pictures of each stage of the restoration. CONDITION In incredible condition throughout, the paintwork has had 3 coats of high-build primer, 3 x coats of topcoat (Red) and all flattened and polished. The interior is new, along with a red and white stripe roof. Registration number – G673 STA Chassis no. – VF7AZKA00KA365507 Current MOT expires – 19th June 2020 The vehicle was last serviced on the 19th June 2019 at 19,581 miles The list of the parts is endless but highlights the detail and dedication to this restoration. Since the restoration was completed the car has only covered approx. 2,500 miles. HISTORY Originally purchased by the current owner in October 2015 from the previous owner in Torquay Below is the advert dated 2015, copy of the original advert is with the paperwork “””””This little Citroen 2CV has had a lazy life, having covered just over 17,000 miles from new. An elderly first owner used it sparingly between 1989 and 2000. It was then bought by its second owner requiring chassis work, and subsequently stored while time permitted. It was 2013 before the car saw light of day again! Structurally, the shell itself is good except for the bonnet and boot lip and an hours’ worth of welding to the rear seat belt mounts. However, the original chassis is beyond hope and require replacement. The engine lacks an alternator, petrol pump and coil pack, yet turns on the starter motor with compression. I see no issues than minor fettle and servicing to make good. The foot and handbrakes work as do the lights etc. It is not concourse by any means, but it is in a virgin state and not a basket case full of past bodges needing correction. I believe it to be the perfect project for the discerning 2CV fan””””””””
