Why is it so impossible to find car insurance that covers you for 90 days in Europe?

Why is it so impossible to find car insurance that covers you for 90 days in Europe, without being charged excessive amounts if you can find one at all.

Most normal insurers will want to limit their liability under a conventional policy to 30 days. If you want a policy for a specific reason, you are always best tailoring a policy to suit rather than expecting a normal policy to be able to provide cover.
