Top 10: Goodwood Festival of Speed 2017 classic highlights

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is arguably Britain’s greatest outdoor automotive event, with thousands of incredible cars on display and in action. The 2017 event was one of the best yet, with classic Formula One, touring cars and the rally greats in action on the world famous Goodwood Hill, with some of motorsport's biggest names behind the wheel.

1966 Lola-Chevrolet T70 Spyder

As you might expect, given his Goodwood hero status, there was a considerable tribute to the late and great John Surtees. Still the only man to win world championships on two and four wheels, Surtees was a regular at the Festival of Speed and there were nine cars from his career to pay homage the former champion.

Among the F1 cars and motor bikes was this, his Lola Chevrolet T70 Spyder. The 5.9-litre V8 made Surtees the first ever Cam-Am champion in 1966, giving him four round wins.
