Top 10: Classics at the Tatton park show
The twice-yearly Tatton Park Classic and Performance Vehicle Show is one of the best attended events in the north of England, and always attracts some weird and wonderful cars. This month’s ‘Passion for Power’ event was no exception. Here are our (somewhat oddball) Top 10 cars of the show…
Vauxhall Firenza 1300SL
When most people think of the Vauxhall Firenza, it’s the iconic ‘Droop Snoot’ thanks springs to mind. But Vauxhall’s answer to the Ford Capri didn’t just come in performance form, and the Firenza 1300SL was Luton’s answer, if it were needed, to the Capri 1.3. With its quad headlamps and flat front end, it was an undeniably pretty car, despite the puny powerplant. Firenza 1300s are down to single numbers these days, and this recently restored example has to be one of the best.
