Dacia Duster
Dacia’s return to the UK in 2012 was spearheaded by a cheap-as-chips crossover ‘soft-roader’ wearing the rather silly name of ‘Duster’. But it wasn’t the Romanian Renault offshoot’s first attempt at selling a car named after a domestic cleaning product on UK shores. The first Duster was a Renault 12-based pseudo SUV, sold in Britain between 1986 and 1990, and although never a great success, was closer in concept to the current Duster than you’d imagine.
