Every car manufacturer, it seems, is cashing in on their heritage – and that’s no bad thing, as it clearly proves that classic cars are as important to the industry as they are to enthusiasts. Here are 10 of the greatest names to make a comeback…
Jaguar S-Type
Jaguar’s spiritual reincarnation of the famous 1960s Mk2 was one of the first 1990s cars to really drive forward the retro-styling that would lead to others such as BMW’s MINI. Taking traditional Jaguar styling cues, such as the double curved side profile, drooping roofline, horseshoe-shaped grilles and twin headlamps, the S-Type was very much a retro-pastiche, especially when you consider that all of the V6 engines came from Ford. But it drove well, and was very much a car of its time.
