MG owners to set world record

Published 13 March 2015

More than a hundred MGs will gather on track next month in what should be a new world record for the largest parade of MGs.

Lancaster Insurance has teamed up with the MG Owners’ Club for the Guinness World Record attempt at Rockingham raceway in Corby on Saturday, 11 April.

The attempt will take place on Rockingham’s banked oval after the first MG club race when an official Guinness World Record adjudicator will be able to confirm if a record has been set.

If you fancy taking part, you’ll need to be quick as places are limited. Visit www.lancasterinsurance.co.uk/gwr for your chance to take part in the record attempt but be quick – entry closes Monday, 30 March at 5pm.

Everyone who gets their MG in the parade will invited to a free hog roast, courtesy of the insurer.

Richard Morley, Lancaster Insurance’s operations director, said, ‘We hope that MG owners will embrace this opportunity by coming down on the day and taking part in a piece of history in the making, while enjoying a great day’s racing.’
