Hagerty launches free online valuation tool

Published 09 July 2013

Classic car insurance specialist Hagerty has launched a new online tool for valuing classic cars. The easy-to-use tool allows users to select make, model, submodel, year and bodystyle and then displays values for fair, good, excellent and concours condition vehicles.

The tool is free to use and gives values for everything from the more popular and readily available classics vehicles like MGBs to the high-end, ‘blue chip’ end of the spectrum – Ferraris and the like. Valuations are based on data gathered from a broad spectrum of sources, including auctions, dealers, classifieds sites and private sale prices provided by willing Hagerty customers.

Angus Forsyth, Managing Director of Hagerty International, said: “The classic car market has gone from strength to strength and has sailed through the global recession while other more traditional forms of investment have struggled. This is true from the lower end of the market to the top.”

He added that the tool “...helps us answer the question we are most frequently asked: ‘what is my classic car worth?’ Everyone from the savvy enthusiast to the part-time hobbyist and interested on-looker wants to know what their car is worth.”

The Hagerty online valuation tool can be found at Hagerty’s UK website
