The Nissan Micra, so long considered a mainstay of British street car furniture, celebrates its 30th birthday this year. It initially supplemented the Nissan Cherry on the UK market, slotting in below that car striking at the heart of the supermini market.

The Nissan Micra Cabriolet (FHK11) was unveiled in cencept form at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1995, but didn't go on sale until August 1997. It featured an electric folding hood, and was sold in limited numbers for the Japanese Domestic Market only. But some have been grey-imported to the UK subsequently.
