Summer fun at the British Motor Museum

Published 28 June 2016

The British Motor Museum is celebrating the British car this summer with a host of family-friendly activities over the summer months.

A different workshop will run every Tuesday and Thursday with activities incliuding building British cars out of Lego. So, no matter how old you are, you’ll be able to make a Land Rover, Mini or Jaguar E-type out of bricks.

Visitors will also be able to become a reporter for a newspaper and interview costumed enthusiasts who will be helping to bring the exhbitits to life and talk about motoring through history.

New for this summer is the Family Festival - a day of art and science activities on Sunday, 31 July. And there are plenty of hands-on workshops and drop-in activities to keep everyone entertained.

These include Keep Calm and Carry on British Car Making, Balloon Modelling, Story time with Veronica Lamond (the author of ‘Landy’), Drumming with car parts, Clay model making with Aardman, 25 Brick Challenge and Augmented Reality with Computer Xplorers.

Admission price and entry to the Family Festival also includes time to explore the museum. Families can take advantage of the museum’s latest offer - buy a family ticket at £39 and Gift Aid it, and you receive a year’s season pass at no extra cost.
