Record-breaking turnout for Silverstone Classic

A crowd of 94,000 people flocked to this year’s Silverstone Classic – the biggest turnout out in the event’s 24-year history.

Visitors were treated to 24 on-track grids featuring no fewer than 1125 entries which covered the full spectrum of motor racing history. The unprecedented number of entries tops last year’s figure of 1113.

If you missed it, don’t worry. A special one-hour television programme will be shown on ITV4 at 9pm on Thursday, 14 August. There’ll be another chance to see it at 7pm on Saturday 16, and at 1pm on Sunday 17.
