NEC classic motor show to celebrate Maserati centenary

Twenty-one Maseratis will take pride of place at this year’s NEC classic motor show to celebrate the Italian marque’s centenary. This display, which has been put together with the help of the Maserati Club, should prove to be a real talking point at the show in November.

Oldest and rarest car in the display is the Grand Prix winning 250F, which is owned by Pink Floyd drummer and legendary car enthusiast Nick Mason. With just 26 examples built, Mason’s car was driven to victory by Juan Manuel Fangio. Completely restored, the car is now in the same condition as its Fifties heyday.

As well as Mason’s 250F, the display will also feature a T61 ‘Birdcage’ and a Cooper Maserati – but there will also be a 200S (one of just 28 made) and a 300S on show. Finally, don’t miss the 3500 Vignale Spyder – one of just 245 made.
