Three Lister Jaguars in Historics 19th May Classic Car Auction

Lister Jaguars are classics you almost never see, so it’s extremely unusual that, like the number 47 bus, three should turn up at once. Sadly, they are a prized three-car collection from a deceased estate.

The Darth Vadar-like 1994 Lister Storm in the main photo is one of only three road-going Lister Storms thought to exist. When built, the 7-litre V12 Jaguar-powered Storm was the fastest road-going car in the world, at 211mph, and was ticketed at an eye-watering £220,000. It is built on an aluminium monocoque, has a 6-speed manual transmission and has covered only 30,000 miles. This near unique investment is estimated at £145,000 to £165,000.

The 1990 Lister Jaguar XJS Coupe is one of only 20 built and has covered just 3,354 miles in the hands of the same owner. It has a 612HP re-worked Jaguar V12 and 5-speed manual transmission. When new it figured at 0-60 in 3.6 and 0-100 in 10.8. It is estimated at £70,000 to £80,000.

£70,000 of modifications turned the 1993 Jaguar XJ12 into a Lister, including a twin turbocharged V12 costing £28,000 alone. It has a bespoke cream Connolly hide interior and has been driven just 14,000 miles from new. It is estimated at £30,000 to £40,000.

Around 180 cars are entered in Historics Classic Car Auction at Brooklands Museum, including eighteen Porsche 911s, four Aston Martin V8s, three Corvettes, a hot-rodded Smart Roadster Coupe, a resto-modded 1960 FIAT 500 Nuova cabrio, a 39,000 mile 1995 Toyota Landcruiser 4.2VX and a restored 1975 VW Type 182 Trekker.
