Superstars' supercars for sale

Classics owned by music legends Sir Paul McCartney, Rod Stewart and Nick Mason are all going under the hammer. The cars are part of Bonhams’ auction at the Goodwood Members’ Meeting on Sunday, 18 March.

A 1967 Lamborghini 400 GT 2+2 originally owned by Beatles legend, Sir Paul McCartney is one of just 250 made, and only four imported to the UK. Capable of 167mph thanks to its V12 engine, McCartney bought the car in 1968. The Italian supercar is expected to fetch up to £500,000.

Another Lambo, this time owned by Scottish singer Rod Stewart is also going across the block. Steward bought the 200mph Diablo new in 1991 and it is now expected to sell for up to £140,000.

Finally, a 1974 Ferrari Dino 246 GT Spider from the collection of Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason is up for grabs. Still one of the most desirable mid-engined cars ever made, this is one of 21 models ordered with flared wheelarches. It could make up to £425,000.
