John Bonham’s Model T hot rod for sale

Published 15 June 2017

A 1915 Ford Model T hot rod that once belonged to Led Zeppelin Drummer John Bonham is up for sale on an internet auction site.

Midwest Performance is selling the heavily modified car, which appeared in the Led Zep film The Song Remains The Same, on eBay for £250,000.

The car was built in the 1970s by Andy Brizio in San Francisco, California, and shipped to the UK by Bohnam where it was given a custom paintjob.

The builder named it ‘Andy’s Instant T’ and it was one of two Model T hot rods owned by the drummer. Powered comes from a supercharged 5.7-litre Chevy small black, which was rebuilt in 2006.

Based in the West Midlands, the car has been well looked after and kept in a climate controlled environment, according to the listing.

As well as the hot rods, Bonham also owned a host of other classics cars – including a Jensen Interceptor and a Rolls-Royce.
