100 cars set for Coys Monaco auction

More than 100 historic, sports and grand prix automobiles will be going under the hammer at Coys ‘Legend et Passion’ auction in Monaco on Saturday, 14 May.

The catalogue includes a selection of racing legends, including a 1968 Cooper BRM T86B works car, driven by Lucien Bianchi and Brian Redman.

Chris Routledge, Coys CEO, said, ‘This car finished third in Monaco 1968, it is a genuine masterpiece of motorsport history with excellent provenance and an extremely reliable 12-cylinder engine.’

Other cars going under the hammer include an ex-Thierry Boutsen 1985/86 Arrows A8 Formula One (worth up to £142,000), a 1986 Lancia Delta S4 Group B (up to £315,000), a 1974 MP 3 2000 (£43,000) and a 1973 March F3 763 (up to £47,000).

Other important classic and sports car going under the hammer include a 1967 Alfa Tipo 33 Stradale Continuation, a 1960 Maserati 3500GT Vignale Spyder coachwork by Carrozzeria Vignale (up to £671,000), a 1955 Alfa Romeo Giulietta (up to £118,000), and a 1955 Lancia Aurelia B20 IV Series (up to £118,000).
