Anglia Car Auctions to sell 2000-mile Triumph TR6

Published 08 August 2014

This pristine 1977 Triumph TR6 with just 2000 miles on the clock is set to be the star of the show at Anglia Car Auctions next classic car sale on Saturday, 23 August.

With just four owners from new – the previous one for the past ten years – it certainly looks like it’s been cherished and could fetch up to £26,000 when it goes under the hammer. That's strong money for a TR6, but this is one of the best we've seen.

According to the Heritage Certificate, it was fitted with overdrive, heater, static seatbelts, headrests and black tonneau cover.

It comes with its V5C, a full year’s MoT, plus some history. It wears chassis number CR/6253-O, which means it was built on 31 July, 1974, and will be tax exempt as of January 2015. The registration mark SKV799R was issued in Coventry in January or February 1977.

Whoever buys it will have to decide whether they want to use it and enjoy this near factory-fresh car - or mothball it to make sure they don’t devalue their investment.
