STOP-THE-STRIKE SHOP STEWARDS

Shop stewards aim to stamp out strikes at the British Motor Corporation's Morris Motors branch at Oxford , which had its worst record in the first five months of this year with 134 walk-outs. The shop stewards committee directs that the senior steward must be called if a strike seems imminent. And the management has promised to deal with problem raised officially as quickly as possible to "avoid frustration.'"
