300 Strike At Morris Motors Factory
FROM OUR CORRESPONDENT
OXFORD, AUG. 23

Three hundred workers in the trim shop at the Morris Motors factory, Cowley, Oxford, stopped work today after the management refused to remove a foreman from his job.

The men were sent home. Later, the men decided to return to work tomorrow so that their complaint could be discussed. A British Motor Corporation official said a complaint was made by about 24 men last week. After a meeting between the works superintendent and the supervisors the men said that matters had improved and they were not taking the complaint farther.
